〈colloquium〉"Avant-garde and Typography"
YOKOTA TOKYO held “ARCHIVE – Rare Books from the Collection of Annely Juda Fine Art” to introduce an art book collection of London-based Annely Juda Fine Art, which has been active for over half a century.
In conjunction with the exhibition, JCRI co-organized the talk “Avant-garde and Typography,” which featured a discussion of avant-garde artists and their books produced in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century. Aya Kawamura, Yuri Komatsubara, and Hisano Iguchi gave talks from the perspectives of researchers on the expressions and techniques found in the books. Many participants joined them for a Q&A session and exchange of opinions with moderator Tomoko Kakuyama.[Information]
