〈Talk Event〉“Ephemera: Library, Museum, and Archive”
“Ephemera” is a term that describes the printed matters designed for short-term use such as exhibition tickets and posters. JCRI has been aware of the importance of ephemera since its inception and published an anthology entitled ephemera in May 2023. Keio Museum Commons (KeMCo) shares this recognition and held the exhibition “Ephemera: Library, Museum, and Archive” in March 2024. KeMCo and JCRI co-hosted the talk event precursor to the exhibition. Speakers from library, museum, and archive discuss the treatment of ephemera in each cultural institution and the issues they confront.
